In July 2018 we were testing out new prototype motors in Emmen, The Netherlands. The motors have been built at Combimac BV, and motors will later enter drum of the first two prototype AWE winches we are currently building in Norway.
Testing of generators shows that they exceed our expectations regarding high density. After further tests this week, they will be sent to Norway for final assemble.
– We can build motors even more compact than we first thought, and with High Density. Motors are extremely robust, quiet and powerful. Weight is also lower than initial plans. Project team are very satisfied with test results so far, says R&D Manager for FE Create, Alf Magne Midtbø Versland.
